Wisconsin Chapter Holiday Party Blue Bag Program Food Drive

Part of the SCI mission is to “give back by participating in humanitarian efforts taking place across the globe through the affiliated charitable organization, Safari Club International Foundation”. The “Blue Bag” program is one of the programs available to advance this part of the SCI Mission!

The SCI Wisconsin Chapter held a food drive as part of its annual Holiday Party to provide relief locally and to promote the SCI Foundation’s “Blue Bag”; Humanitarian Aid program.

In this 2016-img_0511photo (see Left), SCI Wisconsin Chapter Board member Jeff Haigh (right) presented a truck load of goods to Veteran’s Outreach of Wisconsin Volunteers. Veteran’s Outreach distributes over 5,000 pounds of food on a monthly basis and is currently building a community of “Tiny Homes” in Racine to provide homeless Veteran’s a hand up with transitional housing. If you are interested in learning more about the Veteran’s Outreach of Wisconsin, look them up on Facebook and give them a like.

On your next hunting trip, please consider working with your Outfitter to identify needs within the community you will be visiting and utilize the SCI Foundation Blue Bags to provide for those needs. These needs are often nutritional, educational, medical, hygienic, clothing, footwear and could include gifts such as soccer balls and treats.

Watch the video (below) about the program and if you would like to learn more about the program or if you already have a trip planned that you would like to incorporate the Blue Bag program into, please contact the Wisconsin Chapter office at office@sciwi.org and we can assist you with obtaining Blue Bags and also provide suggestions.
